Seawall to Seawall Letters

We had the opportunity to write letters to the runners that are running the Seawall to Seawall Charity Run  on Saturday.  The class very much enjoyed doing this and we can not wait to cheer all of these runners on during the race on Saturday.Good Luck Runners!

Twitter in the Classroom

We started our daily tweet deck today with the kids writing about something they liked from class last week.  We will do this each day with a different student creating a different question/topic to post on everyday.  They have to write their "post" in 140 characters or less and use proper English in it.

Picture Day and fake injury day.

Picture day for the kids will be next Tuesday August 28th.
I sent home a packet with them today and it needs to be
turned in by Tuesday.
The kids have been doing a wonderful job and because of their great behavior we are going to celebrate. So,we will be having a fake injury day on Wednesday, August 29th for our PBIS award.
Thanks for a wonderful beginning to the school year!

Today we worked on the four types of sentences.  Here are some examples of the student's work.

Wonderful Class!

Today we started getting all of our accounts situated and the kids did wonderful! We learned about Edmodo and Wikis and everyone got the chance to log into their email accounts.
We will get some blogs started on Thursday and these should be up and running by Friday when we start our writer's workshop.
